Abunai! 2010 - It's over...

It came, it was, and it has gone

So, last weekend was Abunai! 2010. I really had a great time with all the stuff going on. Of course there were some thing that could've gone a lot better, but all in all I had a great weekend. And I'm not really in a position to complain, given that this was my first convention ever. What did I do there? Well, besides doing stuff like visiting the dealer room (often more than once a day), there were all kinds of nice things to do. A list of stuff I did:

  • Manga Library - Spend loads of time there in between the other events, it really is a nice way to try new manga
  • Yakitate Abunai! - Made a nice lunch for Saturday, a so-called melon pan, a little piece of bread covered with cookie dough
  • Cosplay Act Competition - Wow, some people really put down a great act here, unfortunately my phone was unable to turn of the flash so I don't have pictures
  • Maid cafe - I liked it here, they had reasonable cheap drink and a action with cheesecake for only €1,-
  • Yuuki in concert - Yup, that's right, a JPOP concert. She even tried her very best to speak some Dutch which sounded really good
  • Japanese with Tonari no Totoro - A little lesson Japanese using the movie Tonari no Totoro.
  • AMV Competition - I thought this was gonna be very nice, a AMV competition. I had a great time, but didn't really like the top 3 AMVs...
  • Karaoke - No, I didn't try to join this year, but seeing a few people I guess I will be doing it next year

The manga library was really nice, I finished the manga Negima!? Neo volume 5 there, and I started with Claymore which is a really nice story. Expect a few posts filled with all the loot to come online soon, I really got a bunch of stuff there which I otherwise wouldn't have bought.
