The fight for autumn: Nishicon
Looking forward to Nishicon!

Nishicon is the 2nd convention this fall in the Netherlands. Just like the MGC Experience (see my previous post) this is the first time it's being held, so let's see what we can expect of it!
First off, the price. This is comparable to other single day conventions with a price of €12,50. This seems to be the norm for single day conventions, given that the two other 1 day conventions use the same price. So, not much news there. Let's take a look at the events and see if it is worth it.
The list of events is rather typical for a Dutch convention. The whole list is on their site, which is of course in Dutch. This list contains the usual stuff, so expect an AMV compo, a cosplay compo, DDR, a gamesroom, Ani-Nation with their goldfish scooping and a para para workshop. This is really comparable to what the other conventions give you.
This would be a nice convention, but it is kinda far away given that it's in Haarlem. The positive is that it's directly opposite to the station. I am going there to experience what it's going to be, and I would recommend it if you live near or want to visit a convention. If you live a bit further away (outside of the provinces Noord Holland, Zuid Holland, and Utrecht) I think you will spend more on the way there than on the convention itself.
