Heat

Though the problem is more the lack of thirst

So, as many of you probably know it's been quite hot in the Netherlands lately. Temperatures have risen far above the 25 degrees outside, so a lot of offices and especially short-distance public transport have heated up quite a bit. Don't get me wrong, I don't really dislike the heat, but I can't really take it. When I have problems it's usually becaue of muggy weather. When it's normally warm or hot weather, you still have a little breeze that's cooling enough to actually do stuff. In muggy weather you don't have this and it's just damn hot.

But my biggest problem with warmer weather is that I forget to drink. I simply don't feel thirsty until it's actually too late and I feel light headed and dizzy. At work I counter this by having about 3 liters of water within reach so I can just grab some. Because if I can, I will keep drinking and it isn't weird to drink at least 1.5 liters within 2 or 3 hours. But when I need to do something to get stuff to drink, I just don't do it. And I don't even think about drinking, because it means I have to stop whatever it is that I'm doing at that point in time. So when you see me actually getting up to get something to drink, I'm probably quite bored or stuck at a problem. This is because I think it's not worth to continue whatever it is that I'm doing.

How is that with other people? Do you ever forget to drink, or are you also never thirsty? Leave a comment ^^
