The restaurant

So, today we celebrated my fathers birthday. That was the reason we went to the chinese wok restaurant Mei Fa in Eerbeek, a small town just below Apeldoorn in The Netherlands. This restaurant is the scene for this blog post. But before I start my post, let me say that it really is a great restaurant, so if you are ever in the area and looking for a good place to eat you know where to go ^^

So for this post, I'm gonna talk a bit about the events in the restaurant. We are a family of 4, with me being the oldest son. We got a round table there, with the rest of the family sitting away from the walkway (translated by Google Translate ;) ). So this means I was the one sitting by the walkway, and the only one reachable for the waiters. Crap...

In the beginning it wasn't that bad, because the tables around us were empty so the waiters were still able to easily get to my parents for all the orders and stuff. But as the evening progressed all the tables filled up, so I was the only one who was reachable for the waiters. So suddenly I was the one who was responsible for ordering drinks and the like. And if this wasn't "difficult" enough, the ordered drinks never came... So I had to get a waiter's attention yet again.

I put difficult in quotes because it wasn't seriously difficult, but it was a little barrier which I needed to overcome. And especially the first try was the worst because I really had no idea how to do it in practice because I'd only see my parents or friends do it. So yeah, it was a first for me and that was the primary reason that it was difficult.

Anyway, thanks for reading, and with a little bit of luck you'll see a bird photo blog tomorrow ^^
